DENIS DUBOIS
BIOGRAPHY
Influenced by Haussmann, René Magritte and above all by Max Ernst's collages, Denis Dubois's kaleidoscopic gaze reflects an acid and bitter worldview that, however, contrasts with a friendly aesthetic of colorful images.
Photographer and graphic designer, the little-known Denis Dubois proclaims himself for the first time officially as an “image maker” by becoming the bulimic director of a bizarre and plethora of work, which deconstructs and reformulates a novice universe and interweaves and assembles the elements of an outdated reality in a new order. Here, there is no room for official verisimilitude, where visions and impressions are disinfected and encoded, social and cultural reflections unconsciously embedded in people's minds. What matters now is the artist's perception of this verisimilitude and of the new universe that arises before our eyes, deleterious, vicious and devoid of all normality.
